The block of Indiana limestone from which “The Seer” was made was salvaged from the building of the National Cathedral in Washington, DC. Harder than alabaster but softer than marble, limestone sculpture may be placed either indoors or in the garden. If limestone is kept outdoors, its surface hardens and may develop a patina of moss or lichen.
